Before a business begins operating in Claycomo, a Village Business License is required. An application, fee, additional paperwork, and approval from the Board of Trustees is required to be submitted to the Deputy Village Clerk. All Licenses must be paid for by check, cash, or credit. All Village Licenses expire June 30 of each year. License renewal takes place from June 1-September 30 each year. A reminder letter is mailed at the end of May to the mailing address on the license account. Licenses shall be considered delinquent on August 1 of each year, although August is a grace-period for delinquent penalties. If a license remains delinquent after August 31, penalties apply. Before opening a business in Claycomo, Commercial businesses require fire and building inspections.

Please indicate on the Village Liquor License application what type of license you are applying for. Applications to sell liquor must be approved by the Village Clerk and Board of Trustees.
